The association between prenatal SHS exposure, maternal urine
cotinine level, and the phenotype of AD
Children exposed to prenatal SHS had a higher risk of the late-onset AD
phenotype (aOR 1.687, 95% CI: 1.028–2.770) than those who were not
(Table 5). Children with a higher maternal urine cotinine level tended
to have late-onset AD (aOR 2.884, 95% CI: 0.834–9.975).
