Conclusion:
This case reminds us to have thorough attentive investigations for
constrictive pericarditis so that less probable etiologies are not
missed, optimal treatment is delivered, and serious adverse events are
prevented. It is of great consideration to execute a rigorous
investigation for autoimmune etiologies even when there is no prior
history. In cases of acute pericarditis, constrictive pathophysiology
must always be kept in mind so that inappropriate pericardiocentesis is
prevented.
