Open science is many things to many people. It's a movement for advocating for better research, it's a method to perform better research, and to some it's an ideal that may or may not be achievable.  Wikipedia, an open encyclopedia, defines it as , "the movement to make scientific research, data and dissemination accessible to all levels of an inquiring society, amateur or professional." Where did the term come from?
